I bring a vast array of business and personal life experiences, as well as my training, and ongoing love of learning, and a passion for connection, to truly understand what you’re going through. I support my clients within their unique circumstances, by working intuitively, and by reflecting back your current core thinking & behaviors patterns, as well as unhelpful coping strategies that may be standing in your way to living the life you imagine. We work together to identify new solutions to life’s problems, and create a toolbox of skills to support healing, transformation and resiliency. Before becoming a professional therapist, I experienced a life path that shaped and continues to shape my journey and therapeutic approach. From experiencing the loss of a parent, coping with a parent with addiction, caregiving to a parent with dementia, relationship issues, facing a cancer diagnosis, supporting loved ones with OCD, BPD, and Bipolar, personal career changes, and the struggles of parenting two beautiful neurodiverse children. I know first-hand that reaching out for support isn’t easy. With a warm, compassionate and intuitive style, I create the space for you to be fully seen, heard and supported with tools and strategies to continue the work outside of sessions. I really understand how stressful, mentally and physically overwhelming it all can be.
That’s why I chose the helping profession. I understand how life transitions can be very lonely. I’m here to walk alongside you so you don’t have to be alone. Through non-judgemental conversation I’ll help promote positive shifts and experiences that will help you attain your personal goals.
I work with youth and adults, including seniors focusing on grief, loss, anxiety, and stress (including PTSD). Using a values-based, person-centered approach I help my clients understand how their past attachments & beliefs influence them today. I believe there isn’t a one-size fits all approach, so I draw on several different modalities based on my client’s needs, such as CBT, DBT, Narrative, and Mindfulness, while drawing on Solution Focused Brief Therapy with Positive Psychology Interventions when appropriate.
